Born in Taiwan into a family of bonafide foodies, Tiffy Chen spent many happy weekends as a child wandering night markets — and may have skipped the last period of school a few times to try out new restaurants.
When Tiffy reached high school, the Chens relocated to Vancouver, where they had access to even more unique cultures and restaurants. The step from eating great food to making great food happened at university. Stuck in a small town with no Asian food and a tiny budget, this student foodie had to get creative.
Today, Tiffy shares her daily recipes on her website, Instagram and TikTok, building a community of over 5 million viewers.

During the pandemic, when restaurants were closed, Toronto-based celebrity chef Susur Lee and his son Jet Bent-Lee, content creator, were busy crafting the hilarious culinary content we all needed. The idea was to give every day foods, like fast food fried chicken, takeout pizza and frozen waffles, a fun gourmet glow-up.
