Welcome to 8Acres farm, founded and operated in Western Canada by future-focused cattle farmers Bryce Lobreau, Ben Stuart and their families. These downhome prairie boys are proud to do things the right way: by putting the land and their animals first.
When COVID hit in 2020, Ben and Bryce knew change was coming. That’s when they decided to join forces and begin the delicate task of fine tuning the future of cattle farming in Canada. Stepping out on a limb in an industry rich in tradition is no easy feat. But like they say, where there’s a will, there’s a way. Together, they’ve shown that collectively so much more can be achieved.

What makes 8Acres so different
For starters, the animals roam free at all times where they graze as they please. They’re also fed organic grains grown right there at the farm. The intent is to add value and up-cycle these grains returning the benefits to the land through increased fertility.
Not only do they have strict organic standards, Ben and Bryce challenge themselves to go above and beyond, surpassing what is required and creating new paths, innovation is at the forefront of their journey.

Ben Stuart
Ben has a deeply-rooted passion for grass fed beef production and regenerative agriculture. Not only because of the high quality of beef produced by a well-managed grass finished system but even more importantly, the benefits it has for the soil, the land, the environment, the animals, and consumers. Ben and his wife have expanded their Grass Fed Regenerative program to a location near Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
Bryce Lobreau
Bryce and his family have been farming and raising cattle organically near Pipestone, Manitoba for the past 10 years. The organic principles they implement are not just about following rules, but more about creating systems and farming practices that better their farming system and strive for a positive future, inspiring others along the way.
